Here are a few more awesome celebrity proposals you can consider mimicking. You may not be a millionaire like some of them, but the ideas are sound:
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka — The How I Met Your Mother star had long been engaged to David Burtka, but same-sex marriage wasn’t yet legalized. Burtka was the first to propose to Harris, and he did so 45 minutes out of town on their way to an Indian casino. Harris followed up with another proposal one year later, sealing the deal on Valentine’s Day in California’s elegant Santa Monica.
Matthew McConaughey — The superstar actor decided to make the wedding proposal a bit more difficult than most, wrapping the engagement ring in roughly 8 different boxes. The box was under the tree at Christmas, and it took a long time for her to finally open the box and find the engagement ring inside. When she finally opened it, McConaughey took the knee and proposed. Of course she said “yes” with a proposal like that.
Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne — Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger planned a surprise proposal for singer Avril Lavigne, which she more than loved. Lavigne had a scrapbook of all the important moments in her life, and Kroeger managed to snap a Polaroid of himself holding the engagement ring. He inserted the Polaroid into the scrapbook and covered it with stickers reading “Will you marry me?”
Prince William and Kate Middleton — When the Prince of England asks you to marry him, you say yes–but even more so when he proposed in the middle of a 10-day Safari in the heart of Africa. There’s just something about the African jungles and plains that makes it one of the most romantic spots in the world!
